BEZIERS : The oldest town of France
Our apartment is 15 kms from Béziers.
What was once pure fiction is now scientific fact,
acknowledged by the entrie archelogical community : Béziers was really funded by the Greeks in VI th century BC.
This town exited 600 years ago.
We can't talk about Béziers without mentioning the Canal du Midi,
designed by engineer P.P.Riquet,
built during LOUIS XIV reign, the canal is the oldest european canal still in use.
That's why it has been named worl heritage by UNESCO.
Béziers is also famous for Rugby and had impressed french people for over a decade the ASBH rugby club
is the most rewarded of our rugby teams :
he won 11 times the champion-ship title.
Béziers is a "must" for its "féria" which parts five days, its spanish like pubs (Bodegas) it's pure pleasure.
Béziers welcomes 700 000 to 900 000 visitors during the "Féria".
From different places in Béziers, the arena, the alleys, ...
